Description
The Johner Reserve Pinot Noir is only made in exceptional years from our oldest vines in the Gladstone Block vineyard, planted in 2003.
We seek to create a classic style with notes of savoury red cherry and berry fruits with notes of dark and dried herbs, along with spicy elements, nutty, cedary oak and a subtle smokiness. Flavours are mouth-filling and supported by a fine-grained, supple tannin structure, with balanced acidity. A lingering savoury red fruited finish with spice and cedar nuances follows.
Match with slow-cooked game meat dishes over the next 6 or so years.
