The picturesque drive (partly gravel) to Johner Estate on Dakins Road, meanders along the Ruamahanga river, and leads you past historic native Totara & Kahikatea trees said to be up to 1000 years old. These trees are opposite a small reserve where locals love to stop and fish for trout, enjoy the river or picnic.
Johner Estate’s Tasting room [open by appointment] occupies the heart of our idyllic vineyard setting, with magnificent views of the Maungaraki ranges and the Gladstone cliffs.
A wide selection of wines made from hand picked fruit are available for tasting. A friendly and knowledgeable team member will guide you through our selection. We do not yet serve food or wine by the glass, however we will be introducing these options at a later date.
Eftpos and Credit cards are welcome and a generous case discount applies for a purchase of 12 or more bottles which can be mixed.
