Description
This Pinot Noir is produced from 100% Estate grown fruit which underwent maceration and fermentation for approximately three weeks, 20% whole bunch. The wine is then aged 30% in new French barriques with the balance in seasoned oak for 12 months, after which the wine is then bottled unfiltered and un-fined.
Michael Cooper wine reviewer gave the following notes:
“Offering fine value, the 2024 vintage was estate-grown in the northern Wairarapa, hand-harvested from 25-year-old vines, barrel-aged and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Full coloured, it is mouthfilling, savoury and complex, with concentrated, ripe cherry, plum, spice and nut flavours, a hint of dark chocolate and good tannin backbone. Best drinking 2029+”
