This is our main Pinot Noir, produced 100% with Estate grown fruit. The wine underwent maceration and fermentation for approximately three week, 20% whole bunch. The wine is then aged 30% in new French barriques with the balance in seasoned oak for 12 months. The wine is then bottled unfiltered and un-fined.
This is immensely complex and engaging, showing spiced cherry, dried herb, cedar, game and olive characters on the nose. The palate exhibits wonderful concentration and depth, well complemented by velvety texture and fine grainy tannins. Multi-layered and seductively appealing. 5 STARS – Wine Orbit
