Produced from fruit grown on the Eastern hills of the Northern Wairarapa, the Lyndor vineyard is amongst the oldest plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon in the Wairarapa. Planted in the early 1980’s on a north-facing clay and lime slope, this wine typically requires some bottle age to best showcase its characters.
A very concentrated bouquet of dark currant and plum with dried herbs and leather notes invite you to experience a plate of supple yet dense characters of black currant, loganberry and dusty oak, with fine but obvious tannins. This is a big and concentrated wine that yet shows a surprisingly elegant and memorable finish.
This wine has great ageing potential of up to 12-15 years.
