This vineyard is situated just east\u00a0 of Masterton on limestone soil and is owned by Nick Dench. Karl makes his wines, and they are under Nick Dench&#8217;s label of &#8220;Little Vineyards of Wairarapa&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.johner-estate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/P1020735.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-147\" title=\"Karl looking at the grapes from Lyndor\" src=\"http:\/\/www.johner-estate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/P1020735-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.johner-estate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/P1020735-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.johner-estate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/P1020735-416x312.jpg 416w, https:\/\/www.johner-estate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/P1020735.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our top of the range Cabernet &amp; Merlot &#8220;Lyndor&#8221; is sourced from a vineyard not far from Nick Dench&#8217;s Pinot Noir. The grapes were first planted in the clay limestone soil in 1986.
