Our Gewürztraminer is grown on volcanic weathering in the Bischoffinger Steinbuck site. In 2018 we had a very early harvest. We were able to let the grapes ripen on the vine for a very long time, so that we were able to harvest a late harvest this year. The grapes were picked and sorted by hand. Gentle processing in the cellar to preserve the beautiful aroma. Fermentation and maturation took place in stainless steel.
On the nose, fine rose petals and some lychee on a base of many different spice aromas. On the palate very full, rather discreet acidity and appropriate sweetness. Peach is added as an aroma here. Long finish with flavours of peach, rose petals and lychee.
Foie gras terrine, marzipan, subtly spicy soft cheese on fruit bread.
