This wine is full of ripe citrus, gooseberry and white peach flavours, with a refreshing minerality throughout. On the palate a fullbodied and aromatic wine with a vivid crispiness. The aromatic diversity carry on into the finish, making this a charming and approachable wine from the first sip to the last.
The vintage 2011 was particulary hot in the summer and we had a dry climate in autumn. For this reason we had no pressure to start with the harvest, so that we picked the fruits in two several periods. The fruits are from our “single vineyard” and were manufactured in a very gentle way. At the first pick we selected only the very ripe goden-coulored berries which contained tropical fruit and cassis flavours. The berries from the second pick dominated with green flavours like goosberry, citrus and stinning nettle. After the berries were pressed and settled we put a little amount into used german oak barrels with 330 litres for four months. The fermentation in the steel tanks was very slow. We used amongst different kind of yeast its own yeast too. The bottling was in august 2011.
