Intense flavours of ripe ananas, subtle toasted oak and caramell. The palate is round and fruity, while well-balanced acidity creates a lovely vibrancy. A long aftertaste with returning fruit aromas.
The vintage 2011 was particulary hot in the summer and we had a dry climate in autumn. For this reason we had no pressure to start with the harvest. The fruits could ripen slowly and we started picking mid of april. The berries were very small and intense yellow in colour. They tastet after ananas, apricots and peaches. The manufacturing of the fruits in the winery takes place in a very gentle way. After the berries were pressed and settled we put the most part into used french and german oak barrels with 330 litres. The special character of this wine is that the main part was fermented on its own yeast. After the fermentation the wine matured for another 3 months in the barrels and and was stirred up once in a week.

Elegantly expressed, the bouquet displays citrus, white peach and mealy characters on the nose. The palate is juicy and vibrant with creamy texture and bright acidity providing a lovely frame and a lengthy finish. A well poised Chardonnay destined to develop greater complexity.
