TASTING NOTE MARCH 2011
Bright straw-yellow in colour with green hues, this has a soft, full, but fresh nose of yellow capsicums, herbs and green beans, the broad aromas showing some forward development. Dryish to taste, this is light and fresh with bracing acidity, the clean gooseberrish fruit accompanied by a little texture on the palate. Up-front and simple with moderate nuance and length.
This is our entry level Sauvignon Blanc made from some sourced fruit from Martinborough and our own fruit. The manufacturing of the fruits took place in a very gentle way. The wine was cold-fermented to perserve the fresh, bright fruit and acidity that this varietal offers.
