2009 Sauvignon Blanc Gladstone noble

Noble_SB_KTASTING NOTE MARCH 2011
Bright straw-yellow with light golden hues, this has an excellent lifted bouquet of ripe, honeyed gooseberries, savoury passionfruit and lime marmalade, showing true varietal Sauvignon character with botrytis influence. The volatility is in style and adds to the exoticism. Intensely sweet, rich and lush, the wine features elevated levels of acidity, but the concentration of marmalade, gooseberry, tropical fruits and honey is clear and has great line and length throughout the palate. A liqueur style with racy acidity, this is smooth and slippery with it. Made from botrytis-affected fruit fermented to 8.8% alc. and 179 g/L rs. Sip slowly with the wine well-chilled. Keep for 4-5 years. (375 ml)

WINEMAKER’S NOTES
Sauvignon Blanc we always pick in several periods. Vintage 2009 was a hot climate and a early year. For that reason the grapes were of high ripeness. At the main harvest there were some clusters already dried out and to high in their sugar level to make a dry wine. We decided to pick them later and cellar ed a delicious dessert wine.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Enjoyable on its own or to fruity exotic desserts.
