Produced from fruit grown on the Eastern Hills of northern Wairarapa.
The Lyndor Vineyard is amongst the oldest plantings of Cabernet in the Wairarapa planted in the early 1980’s on a north facing clay lime slope.
Typically this wine requires age to show its best characters. A very concentrated bouquet of dark currant & plum with dried herbs and leather invite you in to experience the palate of supple but dense characters of black currant and loganberry with dusty oak and fine but obvious tannins. This is a big concentrated wine but shows a surprising elegance with a memorable and long finish.
This wine has great aging potential up to 12-15 years.
