The Harvest started earlier than expected. After a dry summer and late summer the grapes have ripened perfectly. The low yield Pinot Noir from our frosted parts of the vineyard started to shrivel. Waiting any further would result in overripe jammy and too alcoholic Pinot Noir. The season with its frost, a cold and bad weather period during flowering had brought us a bad fruit set with many little grapes with tiny berries. The cold nights during the summer intensified the flavours. In terms of quality, this vintage is brilliant.
